Sunny Alicia Trenholm
Ms. Sunny Trenholm came to Sonoita Vineyards back in April 2007 as a weekend Tasting Room employee. She quickly gained the knowledge of our wines (since the Winemaker, Fran Lightly, DID make her go through a tasting as part of her interview!), and was very adept at working closely with the public. She was, in a way, "baptised by fire" since her first day on the job was the Blessing of the Vines Festival back in April 2007. She fit right in - working the table, and the customers, without a hitch. Well, there was ONE hitch...she decided to wear heels that day (note to the rest of you...heels on a tile floor for 8+ hours is NOT fun)..but not to worry, she learned her lesson soon after! :)
Sunny has done a number of different jobs around the winery to include the Tasting Table, bottling, labeling, working the front business area, and most recently, she has been made our Events Manager.
When Sunny is not at the winery, she spends her time working what she calls "her real job" at Northrop Grumman (a Defense Contractor) as a Technical Employment Recruiter in Ft. Huachuca and Sierra Vista, AZ. Yeah, we call her a workaholic too, but I guess some people are, well...you know what we mean.
Sunny is a native California girl, having been born in Lone Pine, CA and then moved with her parents to MD, where she grew up in Annapolis. As most young adults, she couldn't wait to leave home - so she went back to CA and worked for the Dept of the Navy in China Lake, CA and then worked for Raytheon in Goleta, CA (for those of you that don't know where Goleta is, it's right next to Santa Barbara). In 2004, Sunny decided to move from CA and venture off to AZ in her new role w/ Northrop Grumman and finish up her MBA in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronatical University.
